Native American MinistriesA significant component to the ministry of the Mountain and Western Baptist Associations is ministry to Native Americans. One church in Mountain and seven in Western minister in predominately Native American communities. Most others connect with Native Americans in some way. In addition, Western's two highest priority areas for church planting are on reservations: Zuni Pueblo and Crownpoint.
The Zuni, Acoma, and Laguna Pueblos and a sizeable portion of the Navajo Nation lie within the span of the two associations.
